At what temperature do bike inner tubes melt?

At what temperature do they melt or began to get sticky? Any on have any idea? I’m wanting to use some for a project but it may get kinda of warm. How hot is too hot? Thanks.

Inner tubes and tires don’t melt- they burn, just as paper would.

The rubber used in these items go through a process called vulcanization… no relation to Spock. This was developed a long time ago to stop rubber car tires from melting to the pavement on a hot day.

How do I get my bicycle seat not to squeek ?

I already tightened the allen bolt….now its worse ! should I spray it with teflon spray ?…let it soak in ? Its the only thing that makes noise on the bike !!!!!!!!!!!!!

nooooooo, don’t put grease anywhere near the post and clamp. just clean it well and re-tighten it. then in answer to your question you probably can’t get the saddle to stop squeaking. i ride with a group and every now and again one of the saddles squeaks. eventually the squeak goes to another saddle. you may find it squeaks more in winter because it gets wet and swells somewhere. after drying fully it may stop. good luck.
