What are the advantages and disadvantages of gel bike seats over normal ones?
Those big cushy gel seats are good if you are in an upright position on the bike. They are not so good if you are in a more aggressive position(hands low) and ride long distances(more than say….10 miles). They have more padding which might feel comfy in the short haul, but cause more friction on long rides. GOOD padded shorts will give you the proper amount of padding without too much bulk.

Could i wear my mountain bike helmet for skiing? either my fullface or eggshell? or is that stupid?
I want to wear a helmet when i ski this weekend but i dont really want to rent one. Is there anything wrong with wearing one of my mountan biek helmets?
You could wear a mountain bike helmet and ski. They are usually heavier than a normal ski helmet. You will either look like a gaper (ridiculous style) or a big mountain pro skier.
